Another Tidbit From Midnight Temptations

Stretching languorously, Lori Miles allowed her senses to take over as she made sense of what had just transpired between her and her beloved boyfriend. Every bit of what he’d done to her had been the same exact thing she’d been dreaming before her senses had fully awakened. Losing herself to what the dream had stirred within her, she’d allowed Bailey to make love to her, never truly knowing that it wasn’t a dream until the moment she’d felt him shove his finger into her. It was then that every inch of her body had come to life, yearning for the release he was capable of giving her.

"You naughty boy, you!" she yawned, swatting her hand across his left shoulder.

He grinned. "You can't deny that you didn’t enjoy it, though."

"Aye, I canna," she laughed, her voice adopting an Irish brogue she’d learned from having read too many romance books. She leaned forward and kissed him before pulling herself into a sitting position. "If ye will excuse this lass, she will be right back."

"Where are you going?" he asked as she bounded off of the bed and gave him a knowing smile as she strode out of the room without a backward glance.

She returned several minutes later with a bowl of strawberries in one hand and a can of whipped cream in the other. "Did ye miss me?"

Grinning, he decided to play along with her. "Aye. Where did ye go?"

She placed the bowl and can upon the night stand and slid back onto the bed. "I went to brush my teeth and to also grab these out of the refrigerator."

"Ah.” He pulled her into the circle of his arms as she sat down beside him and kissed her lightly on the lips. "What are those for?"

"What are what for?" she asked innocently, her brown eyes full of mischief.

He pointed towards the strawberries and the can of whipped cream. "Those."

"Oh! That!"

"Yeah. THAT!"

Pulling herself free of his embrace, she slid over to the edge of the bed and grabbed the bowl and can. Crossing her legs, she placed the bowl between them and began to shake the can. Bailey arched a brow at her and remained silent as she popped the lid off of the can and reached into the bowl for a succulent strawberry. Spraying it generously with the whipped cream, she held it out to him.

"This, my love," she said slowly, flicking her wrist slightly in a clockwise position as she waited for him to take a bite of the fruit, "is our dessert. You deprived me of it earlier."

"No, I didn’t.” His mouth opened, the tip of his tongue snaking out to swirl against the frothy confection.

She raised a brow in question. “You didn’t?”

A thin line of red slid down his chin as he bit into the fruit. Lori’s eyes followed the trail, her breath heavy as she thought about licking the juice away. As if he’d read her mind, Bailey winked mischievously. "No. It’s not my fault you fell asleep.”
